Krithika Varsha, a young dance prodigy in the field of Bharatanatyam was trained under the direct guidance of PadmaSri Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant of Shankarananda Kalakshetra right from the age of 8. She has blossomed into a dancer of rare merit and dedication, with precise footwork, clear Angashuddam and nuanced abhinaya. Endowed with a fine lissome visage, she embodies infinite shades of emotions along with a fine balance of Nritta and Laya, and debuted into the world of Bharatanatyam, by performing her Arangetram in March 2007.

With her sprightly movements and Abhinaya, Krithika has caught the eye of the art critics, and has essayed lead roles in the productions of Shankarananda Kalakshetra, such as Dancing tales… Panchatantra, Mohana… Krishna beckons, Navarasa - Expressions of Life, Sri Rama Namam - Entha Ruchi ra, Dancing with Joy, and Darshanam- An ode to the eye.

Krithika, is part of the concert section of Shanakarananda Kalakshetra, and has been part of the ensemble that was sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) for dance performances at Corfu Festival, Corfu, Greece, Syria, Edinburgh Festival - UK and Festival of India in Russia at St. Petersburg and Moscow in Russia in 2009. She has also performed for the inaugural event of the Festival of India in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2009.

Kirthika has also performed in some of the major festivals in India such as: the Rasa Sanje Festival at Bangalore, National Festival of New Choreography at India Habitat Centre - New Delhi, in the years 2007 and 2008, the Konark Dance Festival at Orissa, Tamil Isai Sangam – Pollachi, the Kerala Fine Arts Society at Cochin, the Dept of Culture, Govt of A.P. & Kinnera Arts at Hyderabad, STEM and Natya Dance Company at Bangalore, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai, Vishakha Music Academy, Nadhasudha Tarangini, Vishakapatnam, Kinkini Dance Festival at Bangalore, Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Sabha at Mumbai, and other places including the opportunity to dance at Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam, in front of the Mahadwaram, on the Nada Niranjanam Stage, Tirumala, Interface contemporary dance festival at Calcutta. Dharani Kalotsav-2010,Kerala as well as the very prestigious Chennai art season at venues like Krishna Gana Sabha, Brahma Gana Sabha, Bharat Kalachar, and Karthik Fine Arts. Krithika had also done a solo dance Recital at the International Culture Day celebrations at Hyderabad.

Krithika has had the honour of His Excellency the Governor of AP watching her programmes at Ravindra Bharathi apart from other dignitaries in the Arts and Culture field. Recently in Dec 2010, she performed a Solo dance at the inaugural Programme of the 55th Art and Dance Festival of Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai.She also performed in the classical dance segment of the 1st Afro-Asian Games Inaugural function.she also had the opportunity to perform at the tirumala tirupathi devastanam infront of the mahadwaram and also at Rashtrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi in honour of the visiting Russian President. Krithika is an artist with a perfection of music, dance, sports, academics & excellent communication skills. Currently working with Infosys as a systems engineer , she has learnt to balance the tight rope walk of being an Excellent Employee & a ‘dedicated artiste’.
